Class Description

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting summer camp again this year at the Waldorf School of Princeton! Campers will learn new skills, make lasting friendships, and gain a newfound confidence in making the impossible possible. Age-appropriate circus skills include: Aerials - silks, trapeze, lyra Juggling and manipulations - hula hoops, diabolo, plate spinning, feather balance, flower sticks Balance - stilt walking, tightwire, rolling globe Acrobatics - group pyramids, tumbling, circus jump rope Performance and Improv! This two-week camp will culminate in a performance for family and friends! Campers will have the opportunity to create a show that highlights their creativity as well as showcasing the amazing skills learned throughout the two weeks! Performance is optional based on comfort level and will not affect your campers’ experience if they choose to sit out on the show. This camp takes place under a massive tent that fully protects from sun and rain on the beautiful Waldorf School of Princeton Campus. Campers will have access to a large indoor room with A/C for continuing their circus learning when it is too hot or raining.

Cancellation Policy

Absentee If you/your child is going to be absent from camp, please inform us by emailing theclimbcircusarts@gmail.com. Inclement Weather Mother nature is unpredictable–we wish we could allot for all rainstorms, hurricanes, heatwaves, downed wires, power outages, etc.–but it has just proven too difficult. We cannot refund for weather closures. Attire Students should wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. No jeans, zippers or buckles–strictly enforced. Please check for hidden zippers and buttons, as they can rip our silks. Shirts should tuck in if not tight fitted. Hair longer than chin length must be tied back and secured. No jewelry except for post earrings. *Recommendations: While it may be hot most days and campers will prefer shorts most of the time, please send your camper with leggings or tights that cover the backs of the knees. Communication We have an open door policy at The Climb Circus Arts, and encourage parents and campers to reach out with any feedback, questions, or concerns. We also love to hear what you or your child are enjoying! Please never hesitate to email! Class Conduct Safety is our primary concern! For that reason, campers must follow the safety rules. These rules will be discussed on the first day of camp. Students are expected to be courteous and encouraging to campmates. Please, no gum or food during circus time. No one is allowed on any equipment when not under an instructor’s supervision. Please also keep in mind, we are renting space from another entity and will be as respectful as possible to the space, people, and equipment that does not belong to us. If you need to cancel your camp booking, you must do so at least one week before the start of camp so that we have time to reach out to any campers on our waiting list. If you fail to do so before the start of camp, and we can no longer fill that slot, we unfortunately won't be able to refund your booking outside of emergency situations.
